Rachel Portell is a proven entrepreneur who bootstrapped her first company, Convometrics, from 2011-2014. Portell’s marketing agency grew to a team of seven with a net profit margin of 43.5%, was sought after for acquisition by three companies and sold in July of 2014. Portell sits on the Girl Scout’s of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana’s Board of Directors and co-chairs the marketing committee. Prior to building her marketing company, Portell gained valuable experience in the wine industry at Spiaggia, Randolph Wine Cellars and Winesellers Importing & Marketing. She is currently working towards her WSET Diploma.
